The Meaning of Life – Making Sense of Our Cosmic Insane Asylum

We need a new religion…

St. Peter - "Any animal which is slaughtered is defiled, and its meat defiles."

St. Peter – “Any animal which is slaughtered is defiled and its meat defiles.”

If souls are eternal, and I believe that’s so, God is all of us, every sentient life ever born to die on this planet, for all time. These unfathomable numbers of births and deaths must be endured by God to cleanse itself, to filter out the bad from the good and eventually to be pure bliss without the pain and misery of the disease called evil. As far as what “God” is, exactly, I don’t know…we’re all in the dark about that. As an infinitesimal part of said God while here as individuals, we’re all far too cut off to see the whole, out there, somewhere. Or everywhere. Where “there” is no place we can understand.

A huge part of the cleansing process would be to purify the marginal, as in good Germans or those who are conscious of the sources of their meat, and who only support necessary cruelty, or who remain ignorant and know not what they do. Those who enable evil but are basically good themselves, often amazingly good in other ways. The marginal must be made purely good somehow, to be welcome back to the self-perfecting “creator.” That would be what we think of as heaven. While pure evil, when it is at last firmly identified, is sent off to its own reward with only itself to prey upon. As in “reap what you sow.” The obvious goal is for goodness to be in real peace at last. Rest In Peace. God is to become pure goodness, pure love, joy, all things wonderful. But the process itself is terribly messy…hellish. Here we all are, in it.

The religion mankind instead teaches itself…

The angry, egotistical, vengeful, blood-lusting, cruel god of the bibles would be a manmade charlatan, in this way of looking at it all. A demiurge, as in the Gnostic Christian view. The demiurge is defined as a being subordinate to the Supreme Being (the pure goodness in all life and the universe). This “false god” is considered to be the controller of the material world and antagonistic to all that is purely spiritual. The purpose of that, I guess, would be to keep us all in the dark, to keep our trials a total mystery to us and make them as difficult as possible. For many of us to act as mindless faithfuls, believing and attempting to live according to bible texts which rational minds see as madness.

Another purpose for said false god would be to prevent this purging and purification of the true Supreme Being, because this false god is evil itself (as in “devil”) and doesn’t want to be banished. That makes what’s behind the sadistic, brutal teachings of those bibles a lot clearer, to me anyways.

Earth as Purgatory…

In my estimation, the real God’s purging process is what we are all part of here. As in purgatory, where souls are being tested and sorted out, and where others are atoning for their sins before going to heaven. Purgatory, a state of mental anguish or suffering. Where those born as humans, possessing moral knowledge and judgment, are tested to the fullest extent by our treatment of supposedly “inferior” others, whether animal or human, but most significantly, animals.

I believe our suffering as humans also goes into account as far as our eternal fates, which would only be fair. And I believe those humans who die before they can learn and prove themselves get more chances as humans. One thing would be certain: Nothing but proven goodness would be going back “home.”

Hindu Elephant God

Hindu Elephant God

All animals everywhere would be housing God/human souls atoning for their sins before going to heaven. As in the person who regretfully supported animal abuse and killing who must endure life as a totally innocent pig or cow in a meat farm to be made to understand and become pure before being welcome back home, where evil is no longer tolerated or suffered. Some humans would require many lifetimes here as others…anyone from squirrels to cows to creatures like fleas (parasitic people?) who can be justifiably killed for being a health hazard, or whoever…before being welcome back.

Our past life(lives) seem to be obliterated from our minds while we’re here, for reasons unknown, but perhaps because the influences of the past might keep us from further learning and thus prevent our being purified, requiring more physical lives to sort us out.

The non-human (innocent and unknowing animal) existence must teach the soul a lesson that cannot be learned when one possesses human moral knowledge and judgment. Since when the individual had that great opportunity, that knowledge, he/she failed, but not to a hopeless extent. These marginal, benign but evil-enabling souls wouldn’t learn as fully functioning humans, so they have to learn as “other” (whether animals or desperately disadvantaged people, likely victims of unjust violence and undeserved deaths). Those souls clearly deemed hopelessly evil would go straight from being human to being forever banished to exist with only their kind, i.e., hell.

The Buddhists are right or mostly so?

phra_ajan_jerapunyo-abbot_of_watkungtaphaoI used to believe this was a fruitless, even counterproductive process because the evil required to “punish” those now innocent animals would be never-ending. So reincarnation seemed sadistic and pointless to me. But being born as animal is not actually punishment, it’s purification. Their having good lives knowing the love and care of good people teaches them just as much as their being in pain and fear from birth to death at the hands of the sadistic and/or foolish. Either way, they learn empathy from the viewpoint of the most vulnerable. They understand why evil must be identified and cast out forever.

The choices involved for humans regarding animals and the resulting actions we take are vital to judging us and sorting us out. So it must be done. As random as it all seems…and is…there is a method to the madness. Nature’s violence and predation are of course involved in the process as much as anything else…those animals, too, are God/human souls being purified.

In this purgatory, the incentive to put an end to people’s exploitation/abuse/killing of animals is as strong as ever, since that also serves to put and end to the evil, not to perpetuate it. This is the very good reason why animal advocates are more and more compelled speak up, to “preach” to everyone, as hated as we are for it. Those who know better, do better, and otherwise hopeless souls get “saved” in the bargain. Best of all, this world becomes far more beautiful, less violent, less frightening…far less hellish. No one loses from that. And soon this place of predators and prey, kill to eat, survival of the fittest, food chains, etc. …this place full of chaos, bloodshed and anguish…ceases to be necessary any longer. Everything will be sorted out and everything will be in perfection, forevermore.

pig_lactationDo I think my being vegan makes me close to perfect, heaven bound?

I don’t know. I don’t claim to know how the decisions are made about who gets to go where and when, but I’m more and more trusting that the system makes perfect sense and that justice prevails in the end, that everything works out for the best, despite what a miserable hell this world is for so many innocent ones, as well as for those of us who empathize and suffer continually for the most persecuted and suffering of others.

I of course don’t know for certain where I’ll go after this life, but certainly hope it’s heaven (who wouldn’t?), or if I’m not pure & good enough yet, to a human life here again but in an enlightened, healthy, secure family that is already reliably vegan for ethical reasons, so that I can more effectively help to get this extensive and excruciating process to completion. Or maybe I need to live an animal existence to perfect my soul…and I would certainly hope to be a companion animal for someone like myself or better, and never victimized by evil. Another (selfish) reason to fight for animal rights and human kindness everywhere.

Most importantly, I believe the animals and other innocent victims of evil here are in bliss, safe forever at the end of their “processing.” Back home. But a far, far better home. A perfect home.

A personal memory and hard-learned lesson…

chasing_ghosts_at_cha%cc%82teau_de_vianden_3940080719My grandma’s spirit somehow communicated all of this to me in brief seconds the night after she died in our home, although I was typically slow in catching on, all caught up in teen angst and a custom brand of misery. She was my first close family death and it was beyond sad, it was life-changing. On that strange night and afterward, she spiritually got through to me that animals are far more important than people realized and that everything will be made perfect in the end. She came to me as I lay in bed (scared the living daylights out of me) to get this message through, probably because she was soon to be reborn as an animal to be purified. After that brief appearance as a ghost in late 1973 and then for awhile as a part of my mind, grandma was then not heard from again, even though I needed much more guidance.

Guide yourself, young doofus, it all seemed to say.

I first went vegetarian for awhile in the year following grandma’s ethereal message, but it didn’t last and I was still somewhat of a malignant asshole for many years, interspersed with being the opposite (and vegetarian off & on), as if to compensate. But that important seed was firmly planted, and here I am, a far better person than ever possible before that. So, I’m one of these many obsessed vegans and animal liberation blatherers of today. But it is vital. Thank you, grandma, for that salvation.

So in conclusion…

516396125_1280x720The real God is good. Goodness is its own reward. Evil requires retribution as in banishment. Reap what you sow. Have faith and be kind and fight for it. Live by the Golden Rule. Clichés, yes, but meaningful and true. Earn your way back to our newly perfect…Home. Best of all, to be with all of your loved ones once again…perfectly devoid of evil, suffering and death.

Judgmental Anti-Judgmentalism in the Plant-Based Cult

People's popular notion of vegans

People’s popular notion of vegans

A prolific cult has attached itself to veganism like a giant sucking leech, condemning ethical veganism and promoting an anorexic/orthorexic, fanatically low-fat diet based on starch, or entirely fruit, raw, whatever. The word “fat” is spit out with utter contempt, so to be a member of this cult you need to get proficient at that, their main identifier.

In this highly tolerant cult, liberal politics are openly preached as if “no conservatives need apply.” Virtuous, extreme thinness and wide thigh gaps abound, exercise mania rules the day, bubbliness beams from gaunt little faces, toothpick arms flail, and aggressive normalcy oozes from loudly babbling mouths. They sometimes live in fancy big houses and brag about how admirable and wonderfully normal their lives, their selves and their perfect families are.

They pity or make fun of anyone lacking their advantages. They especially pity-hate the “overweight” and assume that those people consume shameful quantities of vegetable & animal fats, otherwise they would not be fatties. Yet, being judgmental is a huge taboo in this jet-setter community…so by “judgmental” they mean judging anything differently than they do.

I often see them gossiping, gleefully condemning even slightly chubby people, political opposites and animal-advocate vegans as scourges and destructive morons. That, they claim, is their being appealing and welcoming to not-yet-vegans. Along with, of course, their embracing of meat eating and such as just another life choice, nothing morally wrong with it…nothing at all! (Except that it’s “fattening.”)

goat-slaughter

Humane slaughter on the small family farm

If you’re fawning and apologetic enough to the wiry plant-based for your slovenly, less than reedy self, and properly admiring, you too can join their big happy club. Because vegan no longer has a definition, you see, it’s a big, happy, selectively indefinable group of slim party people who only reject fatties, those obsessed with animal suffering, and the politically incorrect (ew, outcasts!). For other than those undesirable groups, vegan now means a carelessly shrugged, “whatever.” 😃

ironyThat pragmatism brings SUCCESS! to these self-proclaimed effective vegans…they get the numbers that way, they say, while preachy, bad vegans FAIL by scaring folks away by insisting that vegan means, well, vegan, as in radical, as in no animal foods, products, etc. …nothing that supports animal use/abuse/killing, to the best of our abilities in the world as it is. But we’re wrong, you see, vegan is strictly a diet, mainly a weight loss diet, and when you’re done losing weight, or whatever, you can go back to animal products if they call out to you…and still be vegan if you wanna be! You don’t have to be  honest and true like them…

I speak as a former lapsed vegan who wanted to continue calling myself vegan when I wasn’t, but would say “mostly vegan” if asked. I was sporadically over the years eating dairy, eggs and occasional fish just because it was “easier” and I was isolated away from other vegans, more able to fool myself into believing the cage-free or humane myths. I was also frightened by clever “vegan health disaster” stories put out by meat industry shills. Realizing that honesty and true definitions really matter (and the animals even more so)…thanks to “preachy” online vegans no less…are what brought me back to stay in early 2009. This is precisely the problem “pragmatic vegans” have with ethical vegans, why they hate us so much. They don’t want vegans to stay with it. They evidently have another agenda?

humane-slaughter

Happy village slaughter, no big corporate demons here.

We animal-advocates have non-vegan loved ones and love them no less, but would love them even more than ever if they got with us. We’re basically decent people, not these venomous monsters we’re depicted as (by actual venomous people). We don’t go around tying people to railroad tracks or whatever “vegan villains” do. We understand “almost vegan” and such; we appreciate when people are trying and transitioning, and less animal consumption is always better. Still, we do want everyone to be with us…but as vegans for the animals, not KFCegans or unconcerned plant-based dieters. (I have a lot of gall assuming that I speak for other vegans, but it’s just going by my experiences.)

Early Jim Jones, famous suicide cult leader, selling pet monkeys

Now with this pragmatic anti-vegan vegan cult, being vegan “to the best of our abilities” has been contorted to mean that if eating big macs on occasion is the best you can do, then you’re still vegan if you only eat big macs a couple of times a month, or whatever, that’s just a random example. Now, that sounds like a meat industry agenda to me.

See, to be a proper, effective vegan activist you need to preach about dangers and pitfalls of “giving up a whole, vital category of food!” and how most people cannot do this safely, so they need to be forgiven when they go back to cheeseburgers and bacon & eggs (the real goal). Ideally, grass fed, free range, humanely killed! But ideals aren’t fun all the time, so off to Bill’s Burger Barn you go…you gotta live after all, shucks. Now, this is how you grow veganism!

egg-headWell, that is of course how you water down veganism, attempt to make it meaningless, frightening, cultish, bizarre, dangerous, and full of loopholes, where animal farming & slaughter suddenly are under its welcoming umbrella. That’s in fact how you fight against veganism from within. Like a disease. Then we have their favorite Pied Piper, Temple Grandin, at the helm with all that “humane” slaughter gushiness people so love to get behind. It’s a hell of a lot of cleverness…I’ll give it that.

But wait, there’s a “vaccine” against the disease, this “too hip & healthy to dwell on animal abuse” and/or this “effective pragmatic” plant-based dieting: Love for innocent Wind People Watch Tough Face Outdoor Woman Modellife, self-respect, moral/ethical strength, honesty, and a highly developed deception filter. And there are no debilitating side effects with this self-immunization. To top it all off, it’s free! Rewarding even.

Open-Mindedness, or Gullibility, Ignorance and Apathy

The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.”

Dictionary definition:

open-minded |ˈˌoʊpən ˈˌmaɪndɪd|

adjective

willing to consider new ideas; unprejudiced.

I’ve often been accused of being closed-minded when it comes to listening to “the other side” regarding humanity’s treatment of animals. It would make me defensive, as if I half agreed there may be something wrong with that. So I got to thinking…why would I even want to be open-minded to something I know for a fact is seriously wrong? Could NAMBLA members convince me with enough crafty talk that their man-boy “love” was what they say it is? Hell no. So I’m closed-minded? Well okay then, I am.

narcissist-evil-stare“Open-minded” sounds like a good thing. Sure…who doesn’t want to be open to new ideas and unprejudiced. Having new ideas is smart! And prejudice is a bad thing! But as with any good thing, open-mindedness becomes a terrible thing when it is exploited, abused, misused by both opportunists and those duped by them.

Humor writer David Wong* of cracked.com said, “Gullibility is a knife at the throat of civilization.” Sounds strange at first, at least to me. But then, think: Gullibility means simply not enough concern to have a strong position on matters of importance so that one can easily be swayed by either side depending upon who’s more forceful or has enough popularity to force conformity, regardless of ethical concerns. In that instance, open-minded means seriously gullible. That gullibility is about selfish comfort. “I won’t trouble my pretty little head about that, I’ll simply believe in whatever is popular…the majority can’t be so wrong, can it?”

*Note: Edited above – My source for David Wong’s quote attributed it to The Scarlet Plague, which was Jack London’s 1912 novel, so that was an error and has been corrected.

When you consider the results of such apathy and ignorance among the masses, you can see just how true David Wong’s quote is. Mercenaries, or those only concerned with profiting, devoid of ethics, regularly take advantage of such gullibility in others, and that is THE root of all that is wrong with human civilization. Such collective gullibility allows the masses to accept and even embrace things that normally would horrify and repel them, make them rise up in force and put those practices to an immediate and permanent end. Puppy mills, for instance.

Over thousands of years, humanity has developed the “open mind” to listen to a sector intent on doing evil; letting their concocted, seductive language penetrate and soak into our minds and becoming acclimated to it, allowing it to become our own opinion. This is a severe mental/emotional defect among humanity.

mental-health-1420801_960_720Things we would never do ourselves, we will give license and approval to those that will do them, so that we can enjoy cheese and steaks and such. While at the same time we try to have taboos against equally vile things being done to a select few animals we consider our own “pets.” So those societal “rules” are scoffed at and our beloved companion animals can become prey for the worst cowards among us. Not to mention our children, our elderly, ourselves, also becoming prey, subject to the worst untimely deaths. We hear every day of random violent crimes committed against our own species by hate-filled sadistic deviants. There is a reason for all this…

The root of all evil is the human imagination devoid of a conscience. The nurturance of such sociopathy is misused, abused…open-mindedness.

G. K. Chesterton said, “Merely having an open mind is nothing. The object of opening the mind, as of opening the mouth, is to shut it again on something solid.” Simply put, once you know something is wrong, such as slaughterhouses, shut your mind against those who would convince you otherwise. Escape that programming, and no longer allow it to corrupt you.

But of course, most people have their limits on what they’ll be open-minded to. Child abuse, pedophilia, rape, murder, etc., are things rarely anyone can be convinced to accept and embrace even by the most skilled opportunists. “Ted Bundy couldn’t make me accept his crimes as anything but pure evil to be despised by all, so I’m not gullible!” people could say.

con-artist-1293292_960_720But theirs is a selective gullibility, based in selfishness and deliberate ignorance. That selectiveness is an evil thing. It is the sort of lowly, less-than-human mindset that allows and consumes the worst evils committed against the most helpless among us…cows, pigs, chickens, turkeys, dogs, cats, and so forth. Highly sensitive animals we’ve domesticated to exploit and make money off by selling them in a variety of wholly disrespectful and even torturous ways…all the while saying that we love them and are superior to them. Oh yes, don’t anyone forget, we’re better than them! (So much so that we need to repeat that claim, endlessly.) Yet, we morally intelligent beings have such a hard time consistently distinguishing simple right from wrong, because our minds are so corruptly “open.”

When it comes to doing right, with no helpless victims involved, sure, be open-minded to new ideas! That’s how we make positive progress. But when it comes to wrongdoing, our minds should be slammed and glued shut against the other side, not gaping open and ready for the toxic lies to saturate and become one with us. People en masse for eons have allowed that to happen, letting their base desires (e.g. “bacon!”) convince them to just give pure evil a listen and make friends with it…when convenient and when we’re not the victims, of course. But with that comes the nurturance of injustice, ruthless violence against the innocent and helpless; basically the embracing of sadistic wickedness committed by human beings in the guise of “necessary evil.” Things we must do to survive!…so those who profit from or enjoy those tasks tell us, anyways. That lie has ruined them worst of all.

signs-1172209_960_720Well, it’s better late than never to say, “enough is enough!” Time to put an end to this huge lie and this abuse and trashing of open-mindedness. People everywhere have got to close their minds to the crafty persuasions of the ruthless opportunists among us. Otherwise we’re doomed to never realize true peace and happiness, security and safety; will always have that unspeakable fear whispering in the backs of our minds…dread for ourselves, our children, elderly, loved ones…which taints all of our lives in a variety of ways.

Life could be so much better, extremely beautiful for all of us and all animals who coexist with us, if only not for this human gullibility…this knife forever at our throats.
